Telemarketers And Their Persistence

Few weeks ago, just before Chinese New Year, I kept getting calls from unidentified numbers. I have this bad habit of not picking up calls from unknown numbers. KW always reminded me that what if that particular call is an emergency call from someone we know.

Therefore, to cut the story short, I did answer the calls, which I regretted on why I did on the first place. All those calls are either from the banks’ loan department offering short-term loans or from some telemarketing company offering some sort of loans and services.

These people are persistent and won’t take NO for an answer. They kept pestering me and testing my already ice thin patience. I know that they only want to hit their target but I’m really curious on why and how my contacts ended up in their
telemarketing list, which I later found out from a friend who’s working in a bank.

It seems that the bank would seek help from telemarketing companies to promote their latest loans and services by passing them a compiled
telemarketing list and mortgage mailing list. Gosh, we can’t trust banks ya nowadays.
