The Stepford Wives' Secret

It’s very difficult for me to keep up with the kids schedule, keep the house clean from mess, and steal some time to craft and blog and what say to read. I never understand how other working moms have all the energy to keep their house sparkling clean and still have the energy and time to play with the kids. They are like someone stepped out from The Stepford Wives's community.

I start my day at 6am everyday in order to beat the traffic to reach the school before 8.30. The rest of the day will be spent in the shop entertaining the prince (more like keeping him out of trouble as he‘s super active), coaching the girls with their homework,  feeding the kids lunch, dinner, cleaning up after them, showering them, and the list goes on… By the time we reach home, it’s already 9pm and I’m already too exhausted to do any housework.

Weekends are spent at home repeating the routine at shop leaving me no time for myself nor house chores. The house’s a mess, with the kids’ toys and books all over the place, clothes unfold.

Few weeks before CNY, I finally mastered enough courage to ask a dear friend what’s her secret in keeping her house sparkling clean and still have time to cook a decent meal for her family of 4. What she told me makes me feel like a dumb-ass, PART TIME MAID. Damm, how could I never thought of it? She hires a part time maid on weekly basis and had their food catered.

Now that I know her secret, I’m working my way to at least make the house more presentable before engaging the maid so she won’t be too horrified when she stepped in.

Handmade Ribbon Art/Sculpture Hair Clip

I've been making hair clips and hair bands for the girls. When you have 2 ultra vain girls, you'll either stop buying or start making. I chose the latter.

Hair clips sold in this part of the world are nothing but boring. You'll get to see mirror sights in the hair clips on every little girls hair and that is something my vain girls did not like. They like something different, something unique and this , ahem, (self praising time) loving mummy decided that she'll learn how to make hair clips for her prettyful (a word coined by Phoebe, according to her, she's pretty and beautiful, hence prettyful) girls.

Here's some of my creations for my girls which I made extra and selling in my blogshop, Bow N Ribbon if you are interested to get some for you beautiful girl.

Back In Action

After missing in action for more than 2.5 years, I'm back... The past couple of years had been neutral, not good nor bad.

For the past 2.5 years, there are some major changes in our life:

I have another baby boy
I'm venturing another type of business (again)
Hubs still working with his dad (another business)

I'l try to update this blog more often now as my memory is failing me now I could barely remember what I did last week.
